Hi! I am Jenn Avery, your gourd art instructor. I have been using gourds as a natural canvas for nearly 25 years.
Over the years I have developed an expertise with pyrography, but I also combine other media such as ink, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, carving, inlay, weaving and gold leaf to enhance the burning and make my pieces complete.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and help you get started with gourd art, and walk with you to increase your skills.

Using the gourd as your canvas, create a detailed pyrography drawing of a rabbit sitting amongst the brambles.
You do not need to own every pyrography pen in order to create stunning designs. This class will show you how to get the most out of just 3 pens to explore mark making using a butterfly pattern.
